2021 COVID GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS AND STAFF
At Itzcali Montessori School, we follow guidelines from the CDC, Department of Family and Protective Services (Child Care Licensing), and the Department of Public Health to keep our facilities extra clean and safe. These policies and guidelines may be modified as per future guidance from these departments.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP POLICIES
Parents are required to wear a face mask during drop-off and pick-up periods and maintain a 6-feet distance at the entry. Parents will not be allowed in the school but can drop off their children at the door. A staff member will meet the parent at the entry and will do a temperature check and a visual inspection of the child for signs of illness. Children will wash their hands, and the staff will spray the child’s shoes with disinfectant immediately upon entering the school premises. Staff will sign the “Student In and Out Sheet” so that pens are not touched by every parent.

Parents should check the child’s temperature at home in the morning before bringing the child to school. If the little one’s temperature is above 100.4 F, and the child is exhibiting COVID symptoms (fever, sore throat, cough, muscle aches, and difficulty breathing), please stay home, get medical care, and inform the school ASAP. The same rule applies to staff members. Please do not administer fever-reducing medication to your child because the child may still be contagious.
